Ghz Core
If my computer has example 2GHz with a duo core thingy, can it handle things that require 3 GHz?

If i get a PC with Duo core and 2.0 GHz, will it have the speed of 4.0 GHz and be able to handle things that require 3.0 GHz? and is it the same with Quad Core? example 2.0 GHz in a quad core gets 8.0 GHz?

It doesn’t really work like that. Your cores only allow you to use that 2.0 Ghz simultaneously on 4 different processes. In a single core computer even with windows started and all your shit open, it still only PHYSICALLY can monitor and change one thing at a time. It just does it so fast that you cant tell the difference, it seems like its managing it all.

Now, some programs now have multicore support and stuff, thats a whole other bucket of worms.
